Cosmin Danila Photography - I See Beautiful People: Harjyot & Harman

"Harjyot and Harman's story began in 2001 at the dawn of the modern internet age with several chats over an antiquated internet chat program called ICQ. Harman tried to impress Harjyot by sending her remixed Punjabi songs. He thought he had it in the bag but unfortunately he never heard from Harjyot on ICQ again. Apparently, her internet dial-up connection "disconnected".

Later in September of that year, Harjyot and Harman began attending classes at the U of C but did not "reconnect" until several years later when Harman was throwing the football around with some friends. He saw Harjyot walking by the field so he decided to put all his energy into one particular throw. Harjyot was apparently enamored by this throw and to this day continues to say "you threw that football so far dear!!" to Harman.

Harman's athletic prowess was still not enough to snag "Miss Supafly". Lucky for Harman, the social media craze began and in 2006 Harman and Harjyot became Facebook Friends. However it wasn't until 2008 that a Gorilla named Abedawale from the San Diego Zoo brought Harman and Harjyot together. Harman posted a picture of himself and a Gorilla sculpture from the San Diego Zoo on his Facebook profile and that got the conversation started. Harman mustered up the courage to ask Harjyot out on a date and the rest is history! We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together and couldn't be happier!
